Choir leaders


Anastasia Belyaeva — Ph.d., studied choral conducting at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (graduated in 2009, with honours). In 2012, Anastasia completed her postgraduate studies at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

At present, Anastasia works with three children’s choirs. In 2009, she became the head of «Avrora» children’s choir at the Children’s School of Arts No16. Under her leadership, the choir has been awarded prizes at several national and international competitions. As a guest conductor, Anastasia Belyaeva has appeared with Preobrazhenie Chamber Choir, Kazan Conservatory Choir and Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory Choir. Anastasia holds regular seminars and master classes for choirmasters in Russia, is a member of jury of different Moscow festivals and competitions for children’s choirs.

In 2011 Anastasia was awarded a prize at Best in Trade Competition held for Moscow music teachers working at children’s schools of music. In 2013 Anastasia became a winner of the Young Choirmasters and Choral Coaches Competition in Moscow and got a special prize at the 7-th International Competition For Choral conductors in St. Petersburg. She was a member of jury at The Children and Youth Choral World Championship (2014) and a teacher at Summer Academy for children in Kotlas (Russia, 2014, 2015). From the 2014 she has become a leader of Moscow Methodical choral centre for children’s choirs.

Anastasia Belyaeva defended her dissertation Semion Kazachkov and Kazan School of Choir Conducting. She has published several articles in Muzykovedenie (Musicology) journal and is preparing for publication a biography of Semion Kazachkov, a prominent Russian choral conductor.
